Deluge is the tier 4 class you can only reach by staying a Rattler all the way to level 45 and skipping the level 30 pick. It's a wide, fast hose of small bullets.

Every number here is at 0 stat points, before the per-level health bonus and the per-level speed penalty that every tank gets. The automatic balancer can nudge a class's damage and health over time, so treat these as the roster's base values.
Deluge fires two bullets down the same line every 0.2 seconds: ten bullets a second, each 3.6 damage, spraying up to 10° either side of your aim. That's about 36 damage per second at 0 points, nearly double what a Rattler puts out, in a wide, messy cone that fills the space in front of you.
The spread is the defining trait. At 100 px, a 10° deviation puts a bullet about 17 px off line, so most of the stream still lands on a tank. At 250 px it's up to 43 px off line, and a good share of your bullets miss a single target. Deluge wants to be at 150 px or closer, where the spray becomes a wall. Your bullets only fly about 265 px anyway.
The path here is the catch. When the level 30 upgrade panel opens as a Rattler, you have to close it without picking Volley or Buckshot, and then stay a tier 2 tank for fifteen levels. At 45, Deluge appears. You keep all your stat points either way, so you're not behind on points, only on class power between 30 and 45.
Deluge is excellent against drones and swarms. Ten bullets a second in a wide cone, doing double damage to drones, dismantles a Dreadnought or Hivelord swarm. It's strong against rammers that have to walk through the spray, and it farms shapes very quickly.
It's weak at range: 265 px is short, and you lose to every sniper and missile class. Each bullet does only 3.6 damage, so targets with a lot of health take a long time to go down, and the bullets die in the first shape or enemy bullet they touch. Against focused guns like Trebler at 250 px, too much of your spray misses.
A 33-point build: Bullet Damage 7, Bullet Penetration 7, Reload 5, Movement Speed 6, Max Health 5, Health Regen 3.
Deluge's parent is Rattler, a tier 2 class, so its real competition is the path you give up. If you take Volley or Buckshot at 30, you get a tier 3 class right away and then choose between Autovolley, Volleysnare, Cascade, Birdshot and Twinbore at 45.
Honest take: most runs are better off taking the tier 3 pick. You spend fifteen levels as a weaker class to get Deluge, and Autovolley beats its damage without the wait. Deluge makes sense if you're farming safely through those levels anyway, or if you specifically want the widest, most forgiving spray in the game.
